QUERY: Who are the parents of Lucis Reynolds, of Beekmantowne, Clinton Co., N.Y. He married Sarah ... In his will of 1815 he list his children, Reuben, Benjamin, Henry, Stephen and Mary who married Asa James Hayes, Sr. Asa and Mary Hayes are also named in the will of Ephraim Reynolds of the same place, 1814.
Loyal Hayes is either the son or grandson of Asa Hayes, Sr. I think he is named for Loyal Reynolds of Beekmantowne. Asa Hayes, Sr. or Jr. and Loyal Reynolds lived near each other in 1830.

QUERY: Looking for the father/parents of Stephen Reynolds, b. abt 1775 in VT. I have complete documentation back to him and can go no further. Many family trees say a Jonathan Reynolds who m. Elizabeth Gage is the father, but I can find no real documentation. Beginning with my father, our line is as follows: Irving Elias Reynolds,Jr b. 1915 Nichols, Tioga County, NY - Irving Elias Reynolds, Sr b. 1883 Nichols, NY - Albert L. Reynolds b.1854 Windham, Bradford County, PA - Stephen T. Reynolds b. 1830 Nichols, NY - Joseph Reynolds b.1807 Nichols, NY - Stephen Reynolds b. 1775 Vermont ( VT according to 1855 NYS census) I have all info on Jonathan Reynolds and Elizabeth Gage of Greenwich, Washington County, NY, but no proof of relationship. Also, I don't know if the following will help anyone, but I have some information from Holland Land Company showing Reynolds', George, Joseph, Stephen, Nathan, Job and a Cara or Cora buying land 1806-1814 in the DeRuyter, Cazenovia, Madison County areas of NY. The Stephen and Job mentioned here (according to Holland Land Co. records) came from Petersburgh, Rensselaer Co., NY I hope this is helpful and hope to hear from someone of the same line. Thank you.

QUERY: I am not sure if anyone can help me, but here is what I have. My GGGrandfather was William F Reynolds, according to LA census 1900, he was born in Mississippi around 1856. He had a sister named Sarah born around 1850 (also according to the census). It is rumored they were Choctaw and Cherokee Indian. It is apparent, according to the census, that Sarah had a child out of wedlock and according to family rumors she had been a madam in New York or Illinois. Can anyone help?

QUERY: I am searching for the parents of Simeon Reynolds b. July 19, 1777 somewhere in Ct. He married Charity Tomlinson b. Jan. 17, 1784 also Ct. on Dec. 17, 1800, not sure where. Also need her parents. Some info leads me to believe that they were either Beers Tomlinson b. 1755 and Sarah Bassett or his brother Nathan Tomlinson b. 1760 and Zervia Bassett. Simeon and Charity spent several years, I believe, in Vermont where they had their first son Whilliam Lacy in 1802, not sure what town. Simeon's middle name was also Lacy. Does anyone know of a marriage between a Reynolds and a Lacy? Simeon and Charity moved to Jefferson County, In. in 1813/1815 where they both died in 1850 and 1863 respectively. He was a carpenter by trade and a mariner on the ocean for 13 yrs. in early life. If anyone has any info please let us know. Thank you very much. Kathleen

QUERY: Marion H. Reynolds in his The History and Descendants of John and Sarah Reynolds (The Reynolds Family Association. New York. 1924.) describes a John REYNOLDS record as follows: "the old record published under the biographical sketch of John4 speaks of his son John5 (b. 1734) who lived in Fishkill, Dutchess Co., not so many miles from Billings."
Can anyone identify that biographical sketch?
